Wang Ziling (born 1988 in Hunan, China), works and lives in London.
I graduated with an MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, University of the Arts London, and BA in painting at Academy of Art & Design from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
I’ve been involved in projects with museums and art organizations across the world. My works have been exhibited and collected by several museums, including Today Art Museum (Beijing, China) and Guangdong Museum of Art (Guangzhou, China). I also have public collections including Huawei and Kohler, and was an artist in residence at the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Art (now ESEA Manchester, UK). I am one of the few artists signed by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) China and was invited to collaborate with Kohler for their 150 year anniversary special editions and invited to collaborate with L’Oreal Group (Atelier Cologne).
My work has won or been shortlisted in several art prizes, including Outstanding Artist Award and Academic Nomination Award by KU Art (China), Sunny Art Prize (UK), Beep Painting Prize (UK), Sunday Times Watercolour Competition (UK), Solo Award (UK). I have won the Premium Art Special Award from the Society Of Women Artist Exhibition (UK), awarded by Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent, and won the International Confederation of Art Critics Art Contest 4th Prize (Italy). My work also won the bronze prize at ‘Giant Cup’ Today National Art Students Awards at Beijing Today Art Museum (China).
